1. Overview

SpeakShift.ai is committed to transparency, privacy, and user control. If you choose to delete your SpeakShift account, you can permanently remove your profile and associated personal data at any time.

This page explains:

● What information may be retained temporarily for legal or security reasons

2. How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: From Within the SpeakShift App (Recommended)

1. Open the SpeakShift.ai app.

2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete My Account.

3. Confirm your registered email or phone number.

4. Tap “Permanently Delete Account.”

Your account and associated data will begin deletion immediately.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion manually: Send an email to privacy@speakshift.ai with the subject line:

“Account Deletion Request”

Include the email or phone number linked to your SpeakShift account.

You will receive confirmation once your account is permanently deleted.

3. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you confirm deletion, SpeakShift will:

Permanently delete:

● Your profile information (name, username, photo, language settings)

● All chat history, voice and video messages

● Contacts, friend lists, and connection data

● Session and authentication tokens

Temporarily retain (up to 30 days):

● Basic transaction or system logs (to prevent fraud or abuse)

● Required backup data for disaster recovery (automatically purged after 30 days)

Retained long-term (as required by law):

● Records necessary to comply with legal, security, or regulatory obligations (e.g., data required by UAE digital safety regulations).

Once deleted, your account cannot be restored.

4. Global Accessibility

This page and account deletion service are accessible worldwide to all users of SpeakShift.ai. You do not need to log in or be located in a specific region to access this page or request deletion.

6. Confirmation

Once your deletion request is processed, you will receive an email confirmation stating that your SpeakShift account and associated data have been permanently removed from our systems.
